Hurricane Ridge and Olympic National Park
Hurricane Ridge is the crown of Olympic National Park. The day lodge is a great trailhead for many paths offering breathtaking views of the glacier-clad peaks of the Olympic Mountains, panoramic views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and alpine meadows. The trails range from easy to very difficult, making it possible for everyone to enjoy the area's beauty. Take a picnic lunch and spend the day at the Ridge; cap it off by watching an awesome sunset. Although it may not rain in Sequim, clouds and rain can occasionally occur on top of Hurricane Ridge. A call to the park center will tell what the weather is like above the clouds. A clear sunny day makes the experience spectacular. Driving time is about 1 hour 45 minutes to get up to the 5200 ft. elevation.
